So I guess I'm being a bit of a bad monkey and not going to my night class tonight, but I feel like I'm going to die at any moment.
The first signs of sick (standard head cold/sinus crap) began Saturday morning and have fluctuated since. Last night I thought it was on its way out the door. Today is a whole other story. I went to my 9 am class and was relatively fine other than having to go through about 10 tissues because my nose is like Niagara Falls.
Did some errands on campus, ate lunch, realized I couldn't make it till the 6 pm class, let alone sit through it for 3 hours. Ugh.
I felt kinda bad sending my Prof. the email telling her I won't be in class because I've never really done that before. Even if I felt like shit I would go to all my classes at CCAC. At least I know we weren't going to be doing too much tonight anyway and of course I can stay on task with the syllabus. I've learned it's not worth it to push myself when I feel like this.
Hey, if anyone has ever wanted to swing a giant sledgehammer at something, I'm offering my head as the target! Right now that seriously sounds like the best solution.
Think I will nap now.

I seem to forget that it takes some time to get used to the "noises" of a new place. Just normal creaks a house makes. Also, a new one for me is adjusting to having someone living directly above you. At times it can be annoying, but I am in no way complaining as I am overjoyed to have this living arrangement opportunity. Last night for example, the 40 something year old pot head had a few buddies over. Apparently the living room is right over my bedroom. They were obviously stoned as the drawn out drug induced laughter lasted until about 12:45 AM. Tara, did you hear any of that? Oh well, I guess it will just take some adjusting to.
Regardless of anything, I am very happy and thankful to be here. I should probably check on my Dad though...make sure he didn't burn the house down or something while trying to cook!

Since I don't have to worry about school for now, I agreed to work a few extra days. It's dumb prom time which causes half of our staff to request off for a solid week. One of those days is this Saturday from 6AM - 2PM. Six o'clock in the morning on a Saturday!?! What the hell is wrong with me?! Ay, the temptation of that green stuff could not be resisted. It will certainly help out as I need to purchase a cheap, double size mattress.
Well, off to the fun factory! Uhh..I mean work.
BTW: dj_lollidrop, I will be out tonight to give you the Dali book. Hope to see you. :)

Today, I picked up a birdbath my mom wanted for Mother's Day. Once I lugged the heavy sucker inside I noticed on the box were some basic care instructions. This is just part of it, but I thought the first line was pretty funny.
Birds like most of us derive joy from clean water. It is recommended that water be changed every 3 to 4 days.

So my sociology class is cancelled. Can't really complain. My professor is crazy, not even in the good way. Half the class is wasted by her rambling on about the previous night's episode of Desperate Housewives. Or she'll go on about how a can of her beloved Fresco exploded in her bag. Last week she was 10 min. late and her reason was she got a paper cut and 'had to wait until she was done bleeding.'
I still have a half hour to waste until my next and last class for the day. I could just go home, but I'll be the studious student that I am and stick around for oral communications. Feh.
